Even though my basing convention is 1 regiment per stand, it looks better to have all four stands in a division painted as the same regiment for cavalry. This allows me to represent several troopers, plus an officer, a trumpeter, and sometimes a flag bearer. The riders are older Minifigs that I acquired on eBay and freshened up the paint, leaving some of the older paint where it made sense to me.

I purchased the horses new and painted from scratch. They are a bit smaller than the other horses that I have been using on this project, but I felt that this might work for light cavalry.
